Therapy Tip Tuesday: Boom Cards on a Teletherapy Platform

Therapy Tip Tuesday: Boom Cards on a Teletherapy Platform

This week we are going to be discussing Boom Cards and how to use them on a teletherapy platform.  If you have never heard of Boom Cards, take a moment to read a few of my previous posts that explain exactly what they are:

If you are familiar with them, you know how awesome they truly are for our speech therapy sessions.  In a nutshell, they are digital flash cards with A LOT more functionality.  With Boom Cards, students are able to point and click on their answer choices, they can drag and drop, and/or fill-in the blanks. Boom Cards offer immediate feedback and they are self-grading!  They are such a time saver because there is no need to print, copy, laminate, or find a place to store them, just grab your devices and GO! (NOTE: The term deck refers to a complete Boom Card lesson.  Similar to a deck of flash cards, Boom Card lessons are called decks to indicate a complete digital set of cards).

In response to recent questions on HOW to use Boom Cards via a teletherapy platform, this post will provide you with a step by step video tutorial.  If you’re not a teletherapist, this post is a great way to get a better understanding of how speech therapy can be effectively delivered remotely.
