This is a comprehensive NO PREP Under the Sea Comprehension Boom Cards lesson that addresses the concept of comprehension of expository text. This is one of many in my Middle & High School Boom Card Series. It includes full-color, high-resolution images real images and is fully interactive with point & click features and immediate feedback is provided.
These cards are self-grading and are a fun engaging way to address a wide variety of concepts: comprehension, main idea, comparing, contrasting, use of context clues, use of text evidence, vocabulary, and literacy. It includes FOUR separate reading passages that have been chunked into digestible bites to encourage confidence building in your students. It is FULL of Tier 2 and Tier 3 vocabulary to reinforce and ensure carryover. Each passage includes 10 comprehension questions each plus there is a bonus Tier 2 Vocabulary review at the end of the unit.
What are Boom Cards?
PLEASE NOTE THAT BOOM CARDS ARE MINI APPS THAT REQUIRE AN INTERNET CONNECTION AND A MEMBERSHIP TO BOOM LEARNING IN ORDER TO PLAY. MEMBERSHIP LEVELS VARY, HOWEVER A FREE STARTER MEMBERSHIP ALLOWS FOR UNLIMITED FAST PLAY.

Where can Boom Cards be played?
This unit displays nicely on interactive whiteboards and Smartboards for whole group instruction. Use tablets/iPads for small group or 1:1 individual learning, and speech teletherapy telepractice platforms for interactive remote sessions. It is full color and intended for digital use. It is great for whole group, small group, literacy centers, and teletherapy sessions.
Boom Cards play on modern browsers (released in the last three years) on interactive whiteboards, computers and tablets. Boom Cards apps are also available. Not sure if your browser is modern enough?

Try a free Boom Cards deck first. When you redeem your purchase, Boom Learning opens an account for you if you do not already have one. If you do not subscribe at the end of your trial, you will be able to continue using Boom Cards with the Fast Play feature. Fast Play does not track individual progress.
