How to play?
YOU WILL NEED POWERPOINT TO PLAY THE GAME. Students will click on the squares to slowly reveal the picture of a school supply item hiding underneath. The object of the game is to guess the school themed item in as few clicks as possible. The images of the school items are full-color high definition real pictures.
There’s a separate slide for each school themed item presented. Have students practice describing as they complete the included graphic organizer. In addition, students will practice comparing and contrasting using the diagrams provided. This structured, comprehensive approach encourages reinforcement of important skills. As a result, repetition between slides allows for consistency. There is an abundance of language embedded. So you can introduce new vocabulary, following simple directions, auditory comprehension, and expressive language.
