How to play?
YOU WILL NEED POWERPOINT TO PLAY THE GAME. Students will click on the squares to slowly reveal the picture of a mode of transportation hiding underneath. The object of the game is to guess the thing that goes in as few clicks as possible. The images of the modes of transportation are full-color high definition real pictures.
There’s a separate slide for each mode of transportation presented. Have students practice describing as they complete the included graphic organizer. Each mode of transportation also has a separate page with “Did You Know” facts. In addition, students will practice comparing and contrasting using the diagrams provided. This structured, comprehensive approach encourages reinforcement of important skills. As a result, repetition between slides allows for consistency. There is an abundance of language embedded. So you can introduce new vocabulary, following simple directions, auditory comprehension, and expressive language.

This unit displays nicely on interactive Smartboards for whole group instruction. It’s a fun way to get the entire class involved. In addition, it is also great for computers and laptops (equipped with PowerPoint) when working in small groups.
