Hello! I’m Belinda, and it’s a joy to welcome you here. Your interest in BVG SLP, teletherapy, and my journey is deeply appreciated.
I am Belinda V. Givens, the heart behind BVG SLP. My career spans over 17 years as an ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist, with beginnings in adult care across diverse settings. However, aligning my professional life with my children’s schedules led me to the rewarding world of the school system.
Holding licenses in FL, CA, AZ, and OH, I’ve embraced telepractice, serving on ASHA’s Telepractice Convention Committee and presenting innovative teletherapy tools at the ASHA Convention in 2019. This experience has enriched my passion for teletherapy, a field I’ve loved for seven years and counting.
My academic journey began with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Florida State University, followed by a Master’s of Art in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from the University of Central Florida, where I also pursued my passion for literacy with a Reading endorsement.
Together with my husband, an Occupational Therapist, I co-founded Infinity Rehabilitation, LLC. At BVG SLP, we specialize in crafting No-Prep, No-Print digital therapy materials. These resources are designed for versatility, suitable for both teletherapy platforms and face-to-face sessions. My blog and materials aim to connect and support fellow SLPeeps, emphasizing literacy in therapy. Discover more under the ‘Shop’ tab.
On a personal note, I’m a mother to three incredible boys and have shared nearly two decades of marriage with my husband. We cherish our time together, especially exploring new places on family road trips. We call Central Florida home, where we’ve built a life filled with love, learning, and adventure.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about me and the mission of BVG SLP. I look forward to sharing insights and experiences in teletherapy and literacy, aiming to inspire and empower our community.
